Congratulations to all the participants who stuck with their programs for the last 3 months. I know not everyone who started made it to the end, including one from Team Adams… and it is unfortunate for these people to have wasted such a great opportunity. Undertaking such a huge lifestyle change is never easy which means all of you who stuck with it should be extremely proud of yourselves!
Team Adams had it’s ups and downs throughout the last 12 weeks as I’m sure most participants did. There were times when I was extremely proud of my ladies and others where they frustrated me. In the end the ladies on Team Adams combined for a total weight loss of 79 lbs. Over 12 weeks they have also gone down an average of 4 pant sizes and doubled the amount of push-ups they were able to do. But the stat that really makes me happy is 2 of them lowered their resting heart rates by over 15 beats per minute!
I agree with some of the trainers posts which say it is a shame that there will be a “winning” team announced. Don’t get me wrong, the competition provided great motivation, however anyone who lost weight, and more importantly, sticks with the program set up by their trainers is a winner.
The Rady JCC has decided to extend the memberships of the members of Team Adams for the rest of the year regardless of the final results. We’d like to see what they can do with what they have learned the last 3 months, and possibly give them a kick in the butt if they need it.
Once again, congratulations to everyone involved in this competition! Keep it up!
