CancerCare Manitoba knows that in order to become ‘Winnipeg’s Biggest Loser’, we have to not only be willing to exercise regularly, but also Eat Well. It’s important to plan a healthy diet according to Canada’s Food Guide. This will not only help us to meet our needs according to required vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, but will also reduce our risk of obesity, diabetes, cancer and heart disease.

Canada’s Food Guide can break down meal requirements for persons of any sex or age, as it relates to each of the 4 food groups – vegatables and fruit, grain products, milk and alternatives, and meat and alternatives. For more information on how you can eat healthier, check out the food guide here.
